Job Description:

Worship Director & Associate Pastor

Sugar Land Vineyard (a vibrant 20+ year old church in Southwest Houston, TX) is looking for a Worship Director.  We hope to see good growth in the congregation in the next few years.  Our current active membership is over 1300 or 500+ households.  The base salary will range between $42K - $50K (plus insurance benefits) depending on experience and skill.

This person will be responsible for the worship at three services (Saturday night, and two Sunday morning services).  The Worship Director will coordinate activities between our musicians, vocalists, and choir.  In addition, this person will also be responsible for an additional ministry of the church based on skill, gifting and calling.  In short, the additional duties will be crafted around this person's interests and time constraints.  Leading 3 worship services is not a full time position, so we are expecting this person to take a fair share of the ministry load, but not to over work this individual.

Our applicants must have at least 3 years experience leading worship.  Our Worship Director should be a gifted musician and vocalist who can lead inspired worship and effectively lead the rest of the worship team.  This person will work with a team that coordinates music, graphics, and special effects with the sermon series.
