Vanderbloemen Search Group is thrilled to annouce its new search for its returning client Cherry Hills Community Church (CHCC). Cherry Hills is a thriving congregation, averaging over 6,000 people per weekend, who comes together in many ways—in learning and faith, in raising kids and strengthening marriages, and in discovering the kind of life God desires for each person everyday. In October 2013, Vanderbloemen Search Group conducted Cherry Hill's search for their new Senior Pastor Shane Farmer. Since Shane's arrival, Cherry Hills has experienced explosive growth and financial health. This is a season of great excitement for the church.

The Children’s Ministry Director oversees Grace Place (GP) from birth through 4th grade at Cherry Hills Community Church. This is an incredible opportunity for a ministry-minded leader to build a life-changing ministry in a large and fast-growing church within an extremely families-oriented demographic in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. This role will create and articulate the vision for Children’s Ministry at Cherry Hills in a way that supports the church’s vision, community ethos, and values. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers, as well as the rest of the staff at Cherry Hills, to create an experience on Sundays for kids and their families that kids would call the “best day of their week.” This individual will be an essential part of the professional ministry staff team and will play a vital role in the accomplishment of the church’s vision to impact children and families within the church and community.

The successful candidate will most likely have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and will be able to provide expertise and credibility. Seminary training and ordination would be very welcomed in this role, but is not mandatory. Candidates for this role will need a genuine love and passion for children and have at least five years of ministry experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching kids and families with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention. Proven experience in creative thinking and problem solving is needed. Work history in leadership is a must. This person must thrive on constant improvement and be a dynamic collaborative team player.

Highlands Ranch is a 22,000-acre master-planned community founded in 1981. The community has a population of 93,000 people.
