Job Description:

Ideal position for someone who feels called to work with at-risk students, and who is passionate about engaging the local church in outreach. TTLM brings hope, training, and support to those who are ready to overcome the barriers standing between them and self-sufficiency. Our continuum of free services and programs offer practical skills and resources that break destructive cycles and prepare men, women, and youth to realize their life’s greatest potential. TTLM is currently reaching more than 500 students annually through our various community-based programming, and more than 150 volunteers help make the work possible. While TTLM serves both male and female students, a large portion currently are males who are lacking strong male role models in their lives. The Student Services Coordinator will lead our current programming, and help take things to the next level. The best candidate will be a great facilitator, have proven leadership abilities, and live with integrity in all areas.  Above all, must be passionate about the Gospel and reaching students.

  • Oversee and lead TTLM’s Student Services programs.
  • Serve as an ambassador to share the TTLM story in our community with churches, community organizations, and other interested adults.
  • Develop and plan steps for implementing program and ministry vision, including identifying new ways to connect local at-risk students to post-secondary employment and education opportunities.
  • Work with TTLM’s Resource Development Team to recruit and train volunteers for Student Services.
  • Direct and coach volunteers.
  • Direct and supervise summer interns assigned to Student Services.
  • Be a role model and develop outreach to unchurched teens through TTLM’s community partnerships, and lead and equip volunteers to engage in these efforts.
  • Work with TTLM’s Resource Development Team to raise donations (financial donations, as well as in-kind contributions) to cover the Student Services budget.
  • Nurture TTLM's relationship with our local public school district by engaging TTLM in service opportunities, facilitating our programming on campuses, and respecting their boundaries regarding content and approach while we are on their campuses.
  • Proven leadership ability and experience managing staff and volunteers.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience developing and leading programming for at-risk students.
  • Genuine and deep love of Christ.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to consistently deliver on the details.
  • Successful track record in working with high school students.
  • Competence and capacity to thrive within a professional community.
  • Strong initiative and vision.
  • Willingness to make a three-year commitment.
  • Team paradigm in all facets of ministry: willingness to lead, follow, and work together.
  • Great computer skills.
