Job Description:

The Ark Church in Conroe, Texas (just north of Houston) is seeking an experienced Production Team member who has a passion for Production and ministry for the purpose of advancing the message of Jesus Christ.  The Ark Church is seventeen years old, with a charismatic background (our Senior Pastor came out of Lakewood Church) and is currently averaging over 6,000 in weekly attendance.  

As part of our Production Team at The Ark Church, you will participate in planning, set-up, operation and maintenance of audio, video and lighting equipment for Sunday and Wednesday worship services, special services and special events.

Talents & Abilities:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree (2 years min)

  • Technically minded and gifted person called to Serve

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the church tech and media world

  • Passionate about Excellence within technical production environments

  • Well versed in all things Professional Audio/Video/Lighting (min 5 years Professional Experience)

  • Experienced with Mac & Windows Operating Systems

  • Comfortable on professional Audio Consoles (Avid, Yamaha)

  • Experienced with post audio work (Garageband, Pro Tools, Reaper)

  • Comfortable programming on Jands Vista lighting consoles

  • Willing to serve by doing anything, everything, or nothing

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining deadlines

  • An effective troubleshooter with a cool head

  • Dependable, self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative

  • Creative

Responsibilities & Duties

  • FOH Engineer for Sunday and Wednesday services, and special events

  • Assist in maintaining Audio, Video and Lighting equipment for service and security

  • Assist other ministries with Technical needs as directed

  • Setup, install, maintain, and operate audio/video/lighting systems equipment

  • Provide Audio expertise for purchases, installations and outside events

  • Maintain A/V systems for all needed rooms and venues


  • Assist with planning of Audio, Video, Lighting and Structured Cabling installations

  • Document installation(s)

  • Technical equipment problem solving

  • Installation of Audio, Video, Lighting and Structure Cabling

  • Provide routine maintenance of Technical Equipment

  • Prepare Project Budgets on future Technical Projects

  • Follow directions

  • An eye for excellence, detail and quality


  • Audio Engineer for Sunday and Wednesday services

  • Provide Audio assistance for rehearsals

  • Provide Technical expertise and advice on FOH systems

  • Experience with In-Ear and on-stage monitor mixing

  • Setup/Strike stage and other venues as required


  • Provide Technical Direction for services and special events

  • Switch Live Cameras for IMAG, Webcasting, Recording

  • Efficient with ProPresenter 5

  • Experience with various Broadcast Video Switchers  


  • Assisting with Focus calls

  • Assisting with Installation and rigging

  • Programming as needed


  • Attend required meetings

  • Meet with other departments to assist with Technical needs


  • 40 hours per week 
  • Will require evening and weekend work to support various events and functions. 
  • Currently weekly services includes Sunday and Wednesday worship services, and           
  • Thursday rehearsals.

Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate

Based on experience and qualifications.
