Crossroads Community Church is a thriving church of over 1700 located in Mansfield, Ohio. Crossroads was founded in 1996 and has enjoyed continued growth and outreach throughout the years. As founding pastor Tim Armstrong prepares to transition to a new role in eastern Ohio, the Board of Elders and senior staff are excited to see who God will bring to lead Crossroads in this next season of ministry.


The people of Crossroads love creativity and regularly embrace the arts and innovation to reinforce the message of the weekend services and the day-to-day ministry of the church. Excellence is also a high value at Crossroads. When you walk through the halls of the church any day of the week, you will see staff and volunteers engaged in high impact ministry done with excellence. When you attend a service at Crossroads, you will hear upbeat contemporary music, relevant messages based on God's Word, the Bible, and that you matter to God.


The Lead Pastor will serve as the main communicator, primary Biblical teacher, leader, and visionary for Crossroads Community Church. The new Lead Pastor will embrace a conversational, expository style of teaching focused on helping people grow deeper in their understanding of Scripture and providing the foundation for them to grow spiritually. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching culturally relevant and Biblically accurate messages. They will be a highly relational, authentic, and collaborative leader. They will be responsible for maintaining the Biblical integrity of the message and direction for the church.


The successful candidate will be a culturally-savvy, empowered evangelical and will have at least five years experience in a multi-staff setting. The ideal candidate will have at least a master's degree from an accredited seminary. The Lead Pastor will be a strong communicator who listens well and is comfortable and effective at all levels of the organization; one who thrives on providing the necessary support for others to succeed and handles conflict effectively with truth and grace. They will have proven skills that foster trust, fairness, and teamwork among staff, members, and volunteers, and a common focus on excellence in all areas.


Mansfield, Ohio is a city of 48,000 with the greater Mansfield metropolitan area being over 124,000. Mansfield is a great place to raise a family – good schools, low cost of living, and the warm mid-west hospitality. Around Mansfield, you will find several theaters and art galleries, live music, great restaurants, and two ski slopes. The rolling hills and recreation areas surrounding Mansfield makes it perfect for canoeing, biking, and golfing.  Also in Mansfield, you can follow the path of the 14 area filming sites from the blockbuster movie “The Shawshank Redemption,” which was filmed in the Mansfield area.
