NewSpring Church is a thriving ministry in a fast-growing area of Wichita, KS.  Currently, we are seeking a qualified applicant for the position of director of Small Group Ministries and Director of Celebrate Recovery Ministries.  Please see the job description below.

 

Qualifications we're looking for:

  • An individual with a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for discipleship.
  • A highly motivated self-starter able to manage tasks and pay attention to detail.
  • Able to learn computer tasks related to updating group ministry websites.
  • A track record of being able to work with, inspire, motivate, and guide groups of people.
 
 
Job Description: 
 
Small Group Related Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and interface with group leaders.
  • Act as point person for small group leaders, answering questions and concerns.
  • Act in the best interest of group health by administering and monitoring group quality questionnaires, and checking in with groups periodically.
  • When group difficulties arise, act as a point person/mediator when necessary, and help determine the best course of action.
  • Help plan and execute training and enrichment events for group leaders.
  • Help select curriculum choices for groups.
  • Write blog posts for curriculum sessions to inform leaders/keep them connected to NewSpring.
  • Be present at Thursday evening on-campus group sessions.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Pastor or direct report.
Celebrate Recovery (CR) Related Responsibilities
  • Oversee CR programming and structure of meetings.  Must attend all CR meetings.
  • Recruit, train, and interface with group leaders.
  • Act as a point person for CR leaders, answering questions and concerns.
  • Act in the best interest of group health by obtaining participant and leader feedback.
  • When group difficulties arise, act as a point person/mediator when necessary, and help determine the best course of action.
  • Plan and execute training/enrichment events for leaders.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Pastor or direct report.
