Job Description:


The Office Manager is responsible for the organization and coordination of general office operations, procedures and resources necessary to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Person is also responsible for the facilitation of central purchasing, managing the outsourced service relationship with the Information Technology group, Switchfast as well as the overall management of the administrative staff.  



Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


The position will also provide oversight to the existing administrative staff positions across all Christ Church locations, providing standard guidelines for administrative support.


Serves as the Information Technology (IT) liaison with our outsourced IT provider to assist in providing day to day equipment and sofware support as well as organizaitonal troubleshooting.


Manages vendor and contract procurement and ongoing relationships pertaining to general office administration for all church locations including but not limited to Active Network, outsourced Information Technology (Switchfast), copier (Imagetce), postage (Pitney Bows) and other equipment leases.


Manages  supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, verifying receipt of supplies and processing invoices.


Manages and maintains primary office systems and equipment including phones and voice mail systems, postage equipment lease, printing and copy equipment (including troubleshooting, scheduling preventative maintenance and acting as vendor repair liaison) for all church locations. 


Purchases equipment , furniture and/or fixtures as needed or determined by equipment schedules.


Manages Centralized Purchasing procedures and purchasing needs, procure office supplies, communion supplies, custom printed office supplies, CD consumables, ministry supplies, and maintains or coordinate sthe maintenance of all office supply areas for all church locations. 


Is responsible for church security maintenance including setting the doors, assigning and tracking staff key cards and acting as a primary liaison to Standguard whenever issues arise.


Coordinates the administrative staff including orientation, development, training, and facilitation of periodic administrative meetings. 

Handles pool work as needed and administer special administrative projects as needed.


Ensures that signs are prepared daily for meeting rooms with correct date, time and group that will be using the meeting rooms. 


Oversees space management at all sites using the Service U system. 


Serves as the primary wedding and funeral administrator.


Manages to department budgets.


Provides additional support as needed for purchasing, human resources, forms management.


Provides project management as needed in support of organizational mission/vision/goals.



         Competent in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook

         Able to multi-task effectively

         Detail oriented, a self-starter and self-motivated

         Knowledgeable with computer and technology systems & programs
