Volunteers: They are courageous, fearful, dependable, unreliable, passionate, complacent . . . and that’s exactly why you love them!
And volunteer ministry isn’t something the church does; it is something the church is.
Motivating and mobilizing volunteers to carry out Christ’s mission isn’t an ancillary ministry of the church; it’s at the heart of all the church is about.
We are a modern, creative, multi-ethnic, Spirit-shaped congregation in Charlotte, North Carolina with nearly 2,000 people in weekly attendance. And we’re looking for a man or woman with the experience, gifts, temperament and skill set to energize and equip
our volunteer base across all departments of the church.
The right person for this position will . . .
*have a living relationship with Jesus Christ:
*have a 3-5 year track record of inspiring and deploying volunteers in either a congregational or para-church setting;
*be adept at designing systems to welcome, track, and place volunteers in ministry venues for which they are best shaped;
*be comfortable working with a large church staff in a collaborative, team environment;
*be captured by a vision of a local congregation in which every tribe, tongue, land, and color gives honor to God;
*be obsessed with the success of others.
The right candidate will bring their individual creativity and passion to our community, but will also have the ability and desire to embrace the current vision and strategy, and work within the greater mission of our church.
