The Hudson United Methodist Church (HUMC) has a current vacancy for a Director of Youth and Family Ministries (DYFM). The Director will develop, direct and coordinate a comprehensive and expanding ministry for children, youth and families at HUMC.
The position requires a deep commitment to a Christian way of life and requires building positive relationships with youth and families and understanding their needs and interests. The DYFM will attend community and family events and be available in a variety
of ways to interact and connect with others. This is a full-time, exempt position that includes working days, evenings, and weekends and occasionally participating in overnight events.
Candidates must have a deep commitment to a Christian way of life; be able to work with all ages; and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Position requires cultural savvy such as understanding families and youth needs, interests, and seeing
that those needs are being met. Candidates must be able to use technology in their day-to-day duties; be able to plan, organize, lead, and guide complex projects and activities; be willing to work cooperatively with others maintaining a positive outlook and
disposition; and maintain confidentiality at all times. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required. Knowledge of United Methodist Church curriculum is preferred.
