The Wesleyan Church of Hamburg (WCH) is a growing multi-site church in the Southtowns of Buffalo, New York with a weekly average attendance of 2000. Our mission is to follow Jesus together, loving, seeking, and serving others. We are looking for a Pastor
of High School Ministries who will oversee all the ministries impacting families with students from freshman to seniors.
The High School ministry is part of our Family Ministry called Faith@Home that works to build families who follow Jesus together, loving, seeking and serving others. We do this primarily through three environments – peer/age appropriate environments, inter-generational
environments, and home environments. We have times through the year when every one of all ages and ministries are on the same life teaching journey, allowing families to apply the same truth together.
Our Student Ministries are based out of The Hub, a 26,000 square foot youth center on our campus (thehubsite.com). The Hub gives us many opportunities to reach out to the teenagers in our community and partner with the organizations that serve them. Our
Student Ministry is very active in serving people in the city of Buffalo.
The Pastor of High School Ministry works with a team of paid staff including Student Worship Director, Middle School Pastor, Hub Director, Administrative Assistant, and Interns. We are looking for someone who connects with our mission, vision, and values
and has the desire and ability to build and lead a strong team of ministry partners (volunteers). This person will equip parents to be the primary nurturers of their kids’ faith, love students who are far from God, and demonstrate and cultivate lifelong faith
in High School students.
The Pastor of High School Ministry will live wholeheartedly for Jesus evidenced by godly character, passion for God, desire to reach the lost, Spirit filled faith, and genuine humility. He or she will have a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience
in Student Ministry (or a related field) with a proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate ministry partner teams.
If God is leading you to explore the possibility of joining this great team we would like to hear from you. Send a complete resume via e-mail to email@example.com. We will receive resumes until March 14, 2014. If you are selected to progress further
in the process, we will send you an application, church history, job description, and local community information.
