Job Description:


Rolling Hills Baptist Church ( is located about 45 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati OH.  We have a long history of reaching and ministering in the Fairfield community.  This ministry position is an exciting opportunity to help us further impact the students in the region.  We have a relationship with and open doors in many of the public schools in the area.  


Purpose: (1) to develop and implement a comprehensive and strategic ministry targeting junior high and senior high students.  This is the focus of the ministry, and includes grades 7-12. (2) to oversee ministry to college-aged single adults. The RHBC Minister of Students will seek to win them, and disciple them to growth in the Word and involvement in ministry.




I.  Participate on the RHBC staff leadership team. 

a.  Making a positive contribution to the ministry, unity, and fellowship of a close and supportive team.

b. Modeling Christian character in personal, family, and church relationships. 


c. Growing in leadership skills.


d. Collaborating with staff leadership team, with accompanying responsibilities as needed or assigned.


e. Available for assisting other ministry areas as needed or assigned, and for emergency ministry in the pastor’s absence.

II.  Reach lost and unchurched students, seeking to bring them to faith in Christ and into the fellowship of the church.


a. Implementing a plan to effectively reach lost students, according to the over-all church vision of Making Disciples.


b. Involving students in outreach events and follow-up of new student believers


c. Training, motivating, and mobilizing students to be an evangelistic force for winning all lost students in Fairfield and surrounding areas.

III.  Disciple students to maturity in Christ.


a. Implementing a plan to effectively disciple students, according to the over-all church vision of Maturing Disciples.


b. Teaching the Word of God effectively and in a way that relates to needs of students.


c. Using small groups to disciple and mentor students. 


d. Involving students as vital parts of church life.


e. Maintaining a positive environment that teaches students respect and reverence.

IV.  Mobilize volunteers for ministry among students.  


a. Implementing a plan to effectively develop volunteer leaders-- recruiting, equipping, and empowering them according to the over-all church vision of Maintaining Disciples.


b. Mobilizing and motivating parents’ and guardians’ involvement in the spiritual training of their students.


V.  Administer student ministries.


a. Overseeing over-all student/single adult ministry.


b. Maintaining records of guests of student/single adult ministry events for follow-up.


c. Based on strategic goals, planning and scheduling events for maximum student/single adult impact.


d. Regularly evaluating student/single adult ministries for effectiveness.


e. Based on strategic events, developing, overseeing, and administering student/single adult ministry budget.


f. Participating with staff leadership team in planning annual church calendar.


g. Representing student/single adult ministries on Core Leadership Team.


h. Championing student/single adult ministries throughout all areas of church.
