Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time pastor for our Church.

We are located in Lewiston, ME, the 2nd largest city in the state.  Unity Bible is a fairly new church, the result of a merger of 2 churches about 5 yrs ago.  God has blessed us abundantly with a sweet spirit of unity & oneness within the church Family.  With an average attendance of about 70-75 people, we have nice facilities to meet in [with extra adjoining land, just recently purchased] & a beautiful parsonage [if the new pastor so desires to live there].  We are also debt-free & are able to support a number of missionaries & outreaches.

Unity Bible Church is totally independent of any denomination or organization.  We are unashamedly a Christ-centered, Bible-centered, Bible-based ministry, & are blessed to have a number of small group Bible Studies  during the week.  Theologically we are evangelical & conservative; our Doctrinal Statement is on our web site at  Our Worship Services are some-what informal, & we have a talented Praise Team that leads us in a time of singing & worshiping every week.  Organizationally, we have Elders & Deacons, but require congregational approval for all major items of business.

We are seeking a pastor who gives clear evidence of a genuine salvation experience, who is committed to walking in obedience to His Word, & who demonstrates an intense love for the Lord & for His Church. [And we would expect to see the same in his wife.]  We want one who has a real heart for small Church Ministry, & would prefer one who has had some experience teaching & pastoring.  We expect his doctrinal convictions to be totally in line with our Church's, without any mental reservations.  Since we are strongly committed to the ministry of the Word, we desire a pastor who is wholeheartedly committed to expository preaching, but at the same time sensitive to the need for an emphasis on personal application.  Our current pastor is retiring & we are confident, as we reach out, that God will send us a man to serve in this capacity.

In all things it is our desire to see God glorified.

IF you believe this may be the place for you, please send your resume, a personal testimony of salvation, a personal doctrinal statement, references, & anything else you think might help us know you to:
