Crossroads Grace Community Church is seeking a Pastor of Student Ministries, experienced with a proven
track record of building teams of youth leaders and growing a ministry to students. This person must have
a keen understanding of youth culture, and desire to join our congregation of 2500+. This is a full-time
position for a Pastoral leader, man of God, engaging speaker, able to recruit lay leadership of all ages.
Primary oversight will be High School and Junior High, with some attention given to college (we have a
veteran JH Director on staff, and a volunteer college leader in place). CSM (Crossroads Student Ministry)
focuses on Junior High (7th and 8th grades) and High School (9th - 12th grades), and additionally gives some
oversight to college ministry. Presently both JH and HS meet individually in one of 3 services on Sunday
mornings, and together (in different rooms for the message) on Wednesday evenings. College ministry
meets offsite on Monday evenings.
• Develop an intentional ministry strategy that aligns with the overall vision of the church and builds
environments that reach students who don’t know Jesus with the Gospel, helps them get connected and
grow in their faith, and develop them to reach their peers.
• Demonstrate an ability to love and relate to a wide diversity of students.
• Build the administrative structures and policies to support a thriving student ministry.
• Build a ministry through recruiting, delegating and empowering leadership student leaders and adult
volunteers in teams.
• Identify and use culture to reach the culture in which students live.
• Develop students in a ministry model which includes a small group priority.
• Oversee the administrative functions of oversight for budget, projecting, handling and reporting of
funds, for events, camps, etc.
• Champion the spiritual needs of students, oversee different networks of volunteers, supervise the JH
Director, report to the Pastor of Outreach (previous CSM pastor for a couple decades), participate in the
weekly Pastor’s meetings, shoulder part of the weight of a growing intentionally evangelistic congregation.
