Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Adult Ministry Leadership
A. Ministry Teams: Lead and pastor adult-centered ministry teams. Presently, those ministries include The Lake (young adults), The Well (women), Sisterhood (women), Men’s 7:40, One (single adults), Thrive (single moms), Sports (i.e. softball
B. Recruiting: Actively recruit new volunteers into adult ministries.
C. New Ministries: Identify and create new ministry opportunities with an emphasis on developing our young adult ministry (The Lake) and ministry to senior adults (to be developed
D. Shepherding: Meet with the point leaders of each ministry regularly (communication and appreciation).
E. Communication: Provide timely and accurate communication for all adult ministries.
F. Connection: Move people within adult ministries towards small group connections.
G. E4: Be a champion of the Northwoods discipleship model. (See Northwoods website)
H. Miracle Camp: Partner with Miracle Camp for adult events (see Miracle Camp website).
I. Competency: Be a student of effective adult ministries, related training venues, and best practices.
A. Budgets: Effectively manage all budgets for adult ministries, first impressions, volunteers, and assimilation.
B. Development: Develop an annual ministry plan that includes evangelism and growth strategies.
C. Systems: Maintain accurate database records, ministry calendars, and effective communication methods.
D. Meetings: Attend all meetings required of this position with staff and volunteers.
E. Supervising & Coaching: Supervise paid support staff in their respective responsibilities in administration, first impressions, assimilation, and volunteer coordination.
F. Leadership: Serve on the Northwoods Leadership Team as assigned (with various ministry heads and pastors)
A. Various Functions: pastor-on-call (rotational assignment), hospital visitations, pastoral counseling, funerals, weddings, communion, baptisms, and other pastoral duties.
B. Credentials: Pursue ministry credentials with Fellowship of Evangelical Churches (F.E.C) and participate in F.E.C. related functions.
C. Weekend Services: Be present and support our three weekend services. Provide shepherding and leadership to adult ministry leaders and first impression teams.
Interaction with Others
This person will work closely with other volunteer ministry leaders and paid staff.
Desired Skills and Abilities: This person should be a highly relational and strong motivational leader. This person would be able to build teams and work well with all kinds of people. He/she should have an understanding and passion to see
people move into intentional relationships.

Education and Experience Required: A Bible college education (or higher) is preferred, and proven experience in building teams and ministry systems is important.
