Job Description:


I.  Title:        Facilities Manager and Security Coordinator


II. Scope:     Responsible for operation and maintenance of the church building and facilities, including housekeeping, maintenance, supervision of Building Services, and coordination of outsourcedchurch security


III. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(including but not limited to the following)

  1. Oversee the operation of all building systems, including HVAC maintenance, electrical, plumbing and communications at all Oak Hills’ campuses.


Crownridge campus

  1. Schedule and oversee maintenance personnel and Building Attendants
    • Develop work/vacation schedule for Facilities Dept.
  • Insure adequate coverage for all bookings and special events and regularly scheduled services.
  • Insure Worship Center, South Room, and all classrooms set-up according to specifications for Sunday, First Wednesday Service and all Special Events.
  • Insure all rooms clean (before and after use)

Insure all requests for refreshments, equipment, seating arrangement, and other requests are correct.

  • Baptistery – clean and prepared for Baptisms each week


  1. General Facility Maintenance of Building and Grounds including but not limited to the following:
  • Cleaning of all areas of the buildings are clean with supplies appropriately stocked
  • Entrances to building are clean and safe 
  • Grounds upkeep and upgrades
  • Playgrounds safe and well maintained
  • Parking lot free of trash, obstacles and safe
  • Carpet replacement
  • Condition and painting of interior walls and exterior
  • Upkeep of exterior signage


  1. Budgeting for FacilitiesDepartment expenses including:
  • Repairs and supplies
  • Sundries to include cleaning supplies and hospitality
  • Communion supplies
  • Facilities Department FF&E replacement
  • Contracted services


  1. Minor maintenance of Buildings and Equipment


  1. Communion Supplies and Preparation
  • Order communion supplies on monthly basis
  • Insure communion trays prepared for Sunday morning worship services (Worship Center, South Room, and overflow)
  • Cleaning and Storage of communion supplies


  1. Supervision of maintenance technician, shift supervisors and Building Attendants
  • Develop, train and motivate a team of Building Attendants
  • Create work environment that embraces unity


  1. Oversee Facilities contracted services and vendors
  • Insure vendors are providing satisfactory services and products as agreed upon
  • Obtain competitive bids for services and products


  1. Oversee and coordinate Safety Ministry volunteers, insuring policies and procedures for followed and revising as needed


  1. Manage and direct safety of Crownridge campus and Central Support.
  • Coordinate outsourcing of security services
  • Serve as resource for other campuses


  1. Coordination/Communication with Other Departments
  • Develop working relationship with all departments
  • Anticipate needs of clients to provide excellent customer service



IV. Reporting Relationships:

  1. I report to the Director of Operations
  2. Reporting to me:
  • Shift supervisors
  • Building Attendants (direct reporting to shift supervisors)
  • Maintenance Technician
  • Ministry Assistant
  1. I work closely with:
  • All ministries with special events and Bible Classes
  • Safety Ministry
  • Worship Arts Ministry
  • Campus minister
  • Host supervisor


V. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities;

The Facilities Manager position requires knowledge and familiarity in the following areas:

  • Ability to positively lead a team
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, cleaning and HVAC systems
  • Federal, state and local laws, building codes and regulations
  • Health and Safety procedures and practices (OSHA)
  • Familiarity with commonly used tools and equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starting motivation, reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift 60lbs, access crawl spaces
  • Ability to interact with members, visitors, guests and church staff
  • Possess a valid driver license and safe driving record
  • Property management and/or construction experience beneficial
