Job Description:

TITLE: Children’s Ministry Director

I REPORT TO: Administrative Pastor

REPORTING TO ME: Lead Teachers, Check-in Volunteers, Set-up and Tear Down Volunteers, Other Volunteers

CATEGORY: Professional Staff


The duties and responsibilities of the Children’s Ministry Director shall be, but not limited to the following:

  1. Modeling Biblical Priorities and Core Values of Cowboy Junction Church.
  2. Overseeing and Leading all CJ Kids Departments.
  3. Overseeing and Managing the KidCheck Program at CJC.
  4. Structuring and Leading Volunteers in all departments and areas.
  5. Researching, Developing, and Implementing Curriculum, Activities, and Big Days.
  6. Maintaining relationship through outreach and connection.
  7. Overseeing and maintaining budgeting for the Children’s Ministry Department.
  8. Organizing, planning, and overseeing VBS.
  9. Organizing, Planning, and Overseeing Kids Camp
  10. Overseeing and Maintaining Facilities.
  11. Developing Personal Leadership.
