The Audio Engineer is a full-time, exempt position that provides support to the worship team of Bethel Church.

This person is responsible for serving the church staff and body as the visible head of the audio side of the production ministry at Bethel Church. Specifically, the Audio Engineer is responsible for setting the
audio/production ministry’s vision and goals; acquiring, from leadership, the necessary resources that will enable the audio/production ministry to execute at a high level; being the primary contact person for Bethel’s ministry leaders; and for working alongside the Technical Director in supporting the vision of the Senior Pastor and the Pastor of Worship Ministries.

Specific Job Tasks:
Recruit and oversee the audio/production volunteer base
Ensure that volunteer events, gatherings, and outside training sessions occur and are properly resourced
Set the overall vision for the audio side of the production ministry for weekend gatherings and special events
Lead and coordinate production team members in the review of gatherings, informing all involved ministries of
upcoming events, and assigning team tasks for the week
Act as audio liaison to other Bethel Church support ministries:
- IT
- Communications
- Facilities
- A/V
Lead new project initiatives and work with the production team for implementation and execution of:
- Multi-Site
- Build Outs
Work with the Technical Director to manage audio/lighting/video teams for weekend gatherings and special
Manage/maintain vendor relationships
Act as the primary Audio Engineer for the Crown Point Campus - this person is responsible for overseeing design and board setup, as well as training FOH (Front of House) volunteers although this role deals mainly with mixing FOH at our Crown Point campus, the Audio Engineer is also
responsible for ensuring that capable volunteers are mixing at our other locations in order to guarantee a consistent mix across all of our campuses able to clearly hear the Word proclaimed and to implement distraction-free mix so that people can worship
Purchase and maintain all audio equipment for all of Bethel’s campuses
Coordinate volunteers for irregular setups, stage resets, events, etc.
Oversee all rehearsals at all campuses:
- Train volunteers on how to set up the stage, run a rehearsal, troubleshoot, and run a weekend as FOH
- Oversee and coordinate room tunings and other sound improvements to ensure smooth rehearsals
Assist and work with the Technical Director:
- Lighting
- Stage set design and implementation
Implement and maintain audio post-production:
- Audio for podcast and the Journey
- Record band from weekends for musical improvement
- Maintain/upkeep of sound storage and inventory
Perform other duties that will be assigned/determined according to Audio Engineer’s particular gifting and needs of Bethel (this will comprise 20 percent of work)


Special working conditions:
Will be required to work weekends
Will be required to submit to a Criminal Background check
