Job Description:

Role Summary – Provide oversight and leadership for the College Ministry, including vision, development and execution strategies. Create and manage programs and services that will attract and engage college students, including large group and small group environments.


Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to identify, recruit and develop key ministry leaders, both paid and volunteer
  • Create processes and systems to support growth of the college ministry
  • Manage the college ministry budget
  • Build and manage support systems for both large and small group student environments
  • Devise clear, concise communication channels with students, parents and volunteers
  • Encourage and assist students in discovering and using their God-given gifts and abilities in ministry
  • Stay relevant through personal, professional and spiritual development


Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Attend weekly staff meetings and family ministry meetings.
  • Ensure that Hope’s Mission, Vision and Goals are implemented throughout the ministry
  • Affirm and support the statement of faith of Hope Community Church
  • Abide by all budget allocations


Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for College students and their unique stage of life
  • Strong character with good judgment; team player
  • Thorough theological understanding with the ability to communicate practical, applicable Biblical teaching with excellence.
  • Excellent relational skills with proven ability to build/lead a small group ministry
  • Creative thinker and ministry programmer with experience creating and leading ministry programs
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with other staff teams, college campuses and campus fellowship groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Education and Experience:

  • College degree required, seminary degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years college ministry experience required


Physical Requirements of this role:

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
  • Driving, traveling
