Job Type:
My Church of Columbus
Job Description:

MyChurch is a nearly 5-year old church plant located in Columbus, Georgia. In January of 2009 the Founder and current Lead Pastor, Jeff Murphy, had the vision to plant a church that would “help people find their way back to God.” With over 600 people showing up for the first service it was obvious that he was not alone in his desire. As the church has continued to grow, so has the need for high-level leaders to join our team.

The ideal Worship Pastor will be first and foremost a team builder. The worship pastor will be the primary worship leader but will be responsible for developing other musicians and worship leaders as well. This leader will help build worship services that are authentic, culturally relevant, creative, and excellent. The worship pastor will work in conjunction with the Teaching Team to develop sermon series for the year and fitting creative elements to reinforce the themes. Finally, candidates should have at least 3 years of leadership experience in a church over 500 in regular attendance.

Columbus, Georgia is located on the Alabama/Georgia border in central Georgia right next to the Chattahoochee River. It’s #116 size city in America and hosts a large Army Base named Fort Benning.
