Job Description:

At the heart of HPPC’s mission statement, “Making Disciples of Jesus Christ,” is Christian education, spiritual formation, nurturing maturity as a disciple, and becoming more like Christ. The Director of Adult Ministries & Lifestyle Stewardship will help to provide the engine, the driver for all programs and discipleship opportunities for the adults at HPPC, 35 to 65 years of age. This full-time director will report directly to the Associate Pastor for Adults and Lifestyle Stewardship, supervise the work of the Administrative Assistant for Adults and Lifestyle Stewardship, and work collaboratively with the Grow in Christ Team.  This position will also be responsible for engaging visitors and funneling them into the New Member class, as well as encouraging all adults to find their place in ministry as we all Worship God, Grow in Christ, Build Community and Bless the World.

The Adult life-stage at HPPC constitutes about 50% of the membership and consists of about 2,000 men and women between the ages of 35-65, who may be starting a family, be single, divorced or widowed, and who may be empty-nesters, and/or providing care for their own parents. Within this life stage ministry, the Men of the Church, Women’s Ministry, small groups and Sunday morning Christian Education classes help foster spiritual growth and strong communities for about 1,000 of our members.
