Hearty pioneers, dedicated to being like the early church described in the New Testament, planted the Farmers Branch Church of Christ in 1905. The congregation met in the public school building for the next four years. Then in 1909, members erected the first building at 2570 Valley View Lane.  Although the congregation became small during the depression years, they never ceased meeting in this place. This was the primary place of worship for the next forty-seven years. Today, The Branch is now one church with two locations in the North Dallas area. The church has a "come as you are" casual atmosphere, and everything The Branch does as a church is to help people live in an intimate relationship with God. The Branch is excited about where God is taking The Branch physically and spiritually as they equip people to connect, grow, serve, and go!

The Minister of Spiritual Formation is responsible for helping people live in an intimate relationship with God by implementing and overseeing the discipling systems and programs for adults outside of the corporate assemblies that help them “Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go.” The ideal candidate will provide oversight to the spiritual formation ministry of The Branch in collaboration with the executive ministry staff.  They will strategically execute an intentional leadership training process for leaders who are committed to the philosophy of “Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go," as well as develop a strategy for the creation of sustainable, new small groups across all campuses.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached through relationships with a high degree of adaptability, recruitment, development, and the ability to lead through change. Proven experience in communication, problem-solving, and a collaborative leadership is strongly preferred. An undergraduate degree is required with a major in a relevant field preferred.
