WHO IS THE WOODS CHURCH?
The Woods Church is a community of ordinary people with diverse backgrounds. We're teachers, plumbers, CNC operators, assembly line workers, lawyers, sales people, unemployed, retirees, and stay-at-home moms. We're black, white, and everything
in between. Our community consists of students, young people, singles and families of all shapes and sizes. God has transformed our lives, so we gather together to demonstrate our love for God, love for people, and to serve our local and global communities.
At The Woods Church, the arts matter. In fact, there are few things as important to us creating a worship environment that is both excellent and free of distraction. At this time, we are looking for a Technical Director that is passionate about
partnering with our Worship and Arts team to create dynamic environments of worship where people can enter into the presence of God.
WHAT WILL I DO?
The Technical Director will leverage technology as a tool to creatively establish an atmosphere of worship with as little distraction as possible. The Technical Director will provide direct and oversee our Technical Arts ministry that includes,
but is not limited to, the technical (media, audio, video, and lighting) components of our mid-week and Sunday morning activities..
We’re looking for someone with the ability to develop and lead teams of volunteers who will provide media, audio, lighting and video during our services each week. This person is a seasoned leader who can build a structure of volunteer leaders
who lead other volunteers in the setup, troubleshooting, and usage of our media, audio, video, and lighting equipment.
The Technical Director will not only lead and care for the Technical Arts team members but will also be responsible for the maintenance, care, and troubleshooting of all technical equipment at The Woods. Our Technical Director will be an expert
in one or more of the following: media, audio, video, or lighting. More importantly, the Technical Director at The Woods will be a learner by nature so they will not be content with their current level of Technical Arts knowledge.
We are looking for a Technical Director that currently has or is passionate about learning how we can utilize IMAG in our services. The Technical Director will be passionate about video technology and this will lead them to creating high functioning
video teams that will support not only IMAG in our services but also video simulcasts to current and future venues.
