Job Description:


Ministry Objectives


To seek and find lost teens in the community and lead them to Christ;


To lead our teens to a personal relationship and faithful walk with Jesus Christ;


To equip and encourage them to lead others to Jesus;


To promote Christian fellowship and spiritual growth;


To develop strong and caring personal relationships with our teens;


To train our teens for effective leadership, service and responsibility in the local church;


To encourage and challenge our teens to prepare for vocational Christian ministry at home or abroad;


To recruit and train workers in the area of teen Christian Education;


To equip parents to disciple their teens.


Ministry Duties


Spend at least ten hours per week outside the church developing relationships with church and community teens;


Coordinate and supervise all teen ministries, including Alliance Youth Fellowship, music ministries (in cooperation with the Pastor of Worship), mission projects, special programs and events, etc.;


Serve on the Elder Board (non-voting for first year) and submit a written report to the Administrative Board each month;


Teach (AYF, Sunday School, etc.) to the extent the work schedule permits;


Visit and counsel within the context of the scope of these responsibilities;


Communicate regularly with parents, weekly if possible;


Participate in scheduled worship services as needed;


Attend C&MA councils and conferences;


Attend regular ministry staff meetings (usually weekly) as well as other social fellowships scheduled by the pastoral team, and participate in discussion and planning relating to the overall ministry of the church;


Accept other administrative or ministry tasks as delegated by the Senior Pastor or agreed upon by the pastoral staff.




The Youth Pastor is amenable to the Senior Pastor, but always with direct access to the Board of Elders.


Each member of the pastoral staff is accountable to the other members and will seek to develop and maintain the closest possible working and personal relationships with fellow members of the pastoral team.
