Harvest Fellowship Community Church is currently searching for a Lead Pastor to preach and teach the Holy Bible and to have general oversight of the spiritual life of the church. The Lead Pastor also serves as the administrative head of the church, accountable
for supervising all day-to-day affairs.
In addition to those duties, the Lead Pastor serves as a member of the Elder Council, which oversees all church matters. As a member of the Elder Council, the Lead Pastor serves with other Elders to protect and shepherd the church into the truth of the
Bible under the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lead Pastor shall be wholly accountable to the Elder Council.
- The Lead Pastor must meet the qualifications of an Elder according to I Tim. 3, Titus 1, and I Peter 5.
- The Lead Pastor shall identify himself as called by God to full-time ministry.
- The Lead Pastor shall be an effective teacher and communicator of the Truth of God as revealed in scripture.
- The Lead Pastor must embrace and be able to articulate the essence of the New Covenant teaching of the believer’s identity, our crucifixion with Christ, the death of the old man, the death of the believer to the power of sin and the law, and the believer’s
enduring struggle with the flesh. [This should also include the ability to offer an adequate defense to the common, though misguided, accusations often brought against the New Covenant teaching, including passivity, license, and sinless perfectionism.]
At this time, we do not have a budget for travel or relocation expenses; therefore, we must limit our search to local candidates or candidates who are willing to pay for their own travel and relocation.
Qualified candidates should e-mail their resume to email@example.com.
