Job Description:


North Raleigh United Methodist Church is seeking a visionary youth minister to lead our dynamic and growing youth program into the future, as we build on a solid foundation of over 200 wonderful youth.
The primary responsibility of the Youth Minister is to disciple youth in spiritual growth and to train them in serving Christ with their lives.
Among other duties, the youth minister leads the Sunday morning youth service, as well as Sunday evening and Wednesday evening youth meetings, and plans and leads mission trips.

North Raleigh United Methodist Church was founded in 1971 and has grown to over 2000 members, with an average worship attendance of around 1000.

With a full-time staff of 14, including a very talented associate youth minister, the youth minister is an integral part of a committed ministry team, led by co-senior pastors, Susan and Eric Lindblade.

1. A record of successful youth ministry.
2. Undergraduate degree with an emphasis on theology or youth ministry. A Master’s degree is preferable.
3. Ability and willingness to affirm and teach Wesleyan theology, especially as it concerns God’s grace, the acceptance of different ways of understanding and living out faith in Jesus Christ, and the primacy of Scripture as interpreted through the Holy Spirit and guided by reason, tradition (church teaching), and experience.
