Worship Leader

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States

Date Posted: 10/18/2009
Categories: Worship Pastor
Denominations: Non-Denominational
Church Size: 50 to 100
Job Type: Part-Time

Job Description:
We are seeking someone who is in close proximity to us because of our current situation. We cannot pay a full time salary. We have a team of musicians who are new to the worship scene, and while capable of playing their instruments, are in need of leadership. A couple of them can sing as well, but are not worship leaders. They have been giving it their best for a few months now and have been doing a great job. We have at our disposal a complete sound system capable of concerts, etc. All the equipment necessary is in place.
We understand we will not be what many are looking for because we cannot offer a full time salary yet, however we are looking for whatever we can get from a qualified candidate. If we found someone close that could give us two Sundays a month to simply help mentor and train our current team, we would be happy with a setup like that for now. As the church continues to grow it is our priority to make this a full time position. For now it would be part time. We can afford $400 to $600 per month to start.
The team we have right now is dedicated to practice and becoming exactly what we need. They simply need leadership and training from a worship leader. If that is every week, that would be wonderful. If it is only once or twice a month, we would settle for that as well. Our church is averaging about 50 in attendance right now. We believe in the current day manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. On our MySpace profile you can find our doctrines and beliefs, or you can ask me for them and I'll get you a copy. We believe in the "many membered" Body of Christ so you will not find an argumentive spirit in us when it comes to denominations. We fellowship with others like us and those that are different in doctrine as well. We believe this promotes diversity and unity. Just consider our scenario and visit with me about it. If possible come visit us and get a feel for it and we'll go from there.
As I mentioned, you can find out a little more about us at our myspace page and you can catch me on facebook as well.
