We’re looking for someone with an eye for the camera, a gift with editing, and a knack for storytelling. The ability to tell a good joke is also helpful. What else? We need someone with the ability to take a project from beginning to end, storyboard through
shoot and edit to final. This person must be highly skilled and have thorough knowledge of video editing and motion graphic software applications (Final Cut Pro, Premiere, After Effects, etc.), 3+ years experience behind the camera, and a strong technical
background including, equipment, cameras, lighting, and other whizbang doodads. We value compelling narrative, cinematic viewpoint, and good comedy jokes. If you like to take your time, allow a concept to marinate over months, and believe that collaboration
will be the death of your singularly brilliant artistic vision, this is not the job for you. But if you enjoy being a part of a collaborative team that cares deeply about what they do and have a passion to use media to communicate the best news the world
has ever heard, this just might be the right fit for you.
If you’d like to apply, send your resume and a letter of introduction in PDF format to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You should also upload your reel/portfolio to Vimeo or YouTube and include a link to it in your email. In your reel, we’re looking for at least the following things:
- One piece featuring motion graphic elements you have created.
- One piece shot and edited in an interview, testimony, or documentary style.
- One video that makes us laugh. This piece can be an edit of something pre-existing.
If you have any questions about this position, please email Andy Call at email@example.com.
