Job Description:

HOPE Christian Fellowship is an evangelical, multi-ethnic, non-denominational church in the city of San Gabriel in Los Angeles County, CA. We are a growing cell-based church with an attendance of approximately 60 children (birth to 6th grade) and 170 adults each week (or about 80 children and 220 adults overall). Children are a vital part of our church family. They worship, serve, pray, learn and grow in faith together with a great team of adult and teen volunteers. This loving and dedicated team invests in our children every week during the Sunday service and other events. We are praying and believing God to reveal the Children's Ministry Director He has called to manage this team, shape Christ in the lives of our children, and support families in growing children who are lifelong disciples of Christ. The primary responsibility for this position is to manage programs (i.e. Sunday School) and events (i.e. VBS) which provide age-appropriate opportunities for ongoing growth, discipleship, and evangelism for children up to 6th grade.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who has a heart-felt calling and strong desire to minister the love of Jesus Christ to children. “Empowering Youth” is one of our seven core values and we are in search of someone who longs to shape Christ in the lives of our children. We are seeking an individual who has an understanding of children's developmental stages, at least two years experience in children's ministry, strong communication and administrative skills, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, solid Biblical training, and skill in recruiting, training, motivating, coaching and caring for volunteer staff.

This part-time (about 20 hours/week) position is a great opportunity for an individual to be a part of a church that loves, values and cares for its children. The pastoral staff team enjoys each other, is mutually supportive, prayerful, and healthy. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience. If interested, please take a look at our web site at and download a job description, application and brochure about HOPE from the Employment page. Please note, relocation costs will not be reimbursed.
