Zion Church
Job Description:
Zion Church of Clarion, Pennsylvania is a multi site church planning to launch it's third location in early 2010. We are looking for a pastor with 3 or more years of full time ministry experience who would excel in leading, growing, and developing a church in a rural community. Some of the qualities that applicants must possess that help describe the role of a campus pastor include:

· Host: The Campus Pastor will often be the first person a new guest will meet. Great hospitality hinges first on the work of a Campus Pastor as the lead host at our new location. Genuine warmth and extroversion help a Campus Pastor fulfill the vital role of host.

· Cheerleader: The Campus Pastor is on site from beginning to end, motivating and encouraging the TEAM at that campus. The work of launching a new campus is daunting, and having someone to add cheer and just plain fun to the work will make the tasks less difficult.

· Talent Scout: The Campus Pastor is always looking for potential leaders, musicians, teachers, and technicians—people who may walk through the doors and could have an immediate impact at that location.

· On-Site Total Quality Management Guy: The Campus Pastor is always seeking the best interest of the campus, looking for opportunities to improve in all areas from arts to kids ministry. This demands the taking of ownership, which is the difference between a shepherd and a hireling, as Jesus put it (John 10:11–15).

Adapted from Jon Ferguson and Community Christian Church.

We use a Teaching Team model with live speakers at each location. The Campus Pastor at the new location must be a competent and effective communicator.
