Statesboro First United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Digital Communications. This ministry is a full-time salaried position with primary responsibilities which include coordinating worship media, social media, website design, and creating and incorporating design elements in our print publications. The Director of Digital Communications will be a self-motivated, energetic, team-oriented person with a heart for Jesus Christ and a deep commitment to communicate the mission and ministry of Statesboro First UMC with the church family and the surrounding community. This ideal candidate will possess a clear understanding of the mission of our church, supports the core principles and theology of the Methodist church, and has a passion for reaching people through digital media.
Statesboro First UMC is located in Statesboro, GA and averages around 400 on a Sunday morning. We are a church that is looking to innovate and grow in our technological communication as we have strong traditional roots. We are looking for somebody who can work cooperatively with a young and energetic program staff to develop and help implement a plan to engage folks through digital communication in a variety of ways. This might include producing message videos and/or video advertisements, designing unique presentations through our worship software, branding and logo design for ministries of the church, art design for message series and for newsletters and/or mailers. We are looking for somebody who can passionately tell stories through digital means of how our church is profoundly impacting the community through its ministries.
The ideal candidate will have competency and proficiency in the skills listed below. Please be advised that we will ask candidates to provide a portfolio of their work to demonstrate their capabilities.
