Job Description:

City Church is a growing church serving southwest Minneapolis. Launched on Easter 2005, City Church is the eighth daughter church of Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, MN. In March of 2013, the church occupied a newly renovated facility and has subsiquently experienced more than 30% growth, averaging nearly 350 in weekly worship. Our purpose is to Love God and Love Others.


We are seeking a Worship Arts Pastor to lead the development and implimentation of creative, God-honoring worship experiences. The worship arts ministry at City Church currently includes a team of volunteer musicians and artists along with a supporting group of professionals who help to produce two Sunday morning contemporary services. The church has plans to experiment with a traditional service (a third Sunday morning experience) in 2014. Longer term plans are to explore a Saturday or Sunday evening service. The future for Worship Arts at City Church is exciting. In recent years, we have developed a reputation for creativity and excellence.


The Worship Arts Pastor should have strong credentials in a variety of musical traditions, be a leader and bring creativity to planning weekly worship experiences. They should be a person of vital faith with a

commitment to historical orthodox Christian faith. They should also be able to effectively collaborate with the staff and volunteers of the church and have a commitment to the purpose of City Church in this community. A bachelor's degree in music is required. A mastor's degree in music and/or seminary desirable.
