We are looking for a pastor who can lead our congregation in worship. We are not looking for a song leader or choir director. We are looking for a man that has a passionate walk with God, and a man that is overwhelmed
with a calling to lead people into Christ's presence. We believe that a classical background would help with our orchestra, and a love for contemporary music would allow him to connect with the heart of our people. Our church is committed to an expository
style of preaching.
In the past few years, our church has seen significant spiritual, ministerial, and missional growth. Our membership rate and baptism rate has grown as well. More significantly, we feel that our congregation has grown in unity of mind and obedience to the
Lord during these past few years, especially since the arrival of our current senior pastor, student pastor, and evangelism/discipleship pastor.
Worship Style- Blended
Vocals: Choir (50-80) and Praise Team (4-12)
Typical Instrumentation: Piano, Organ, 5 Trumpets, 1 Saxophone, Drums, electric Bass, Acoustical Guitar, Bass, & Violin.
Worship preparation and evaluation: The pastor would expect to spend Monday mornings reviewing video of Sunday services, and Monday afternoons planning future services.
Demographics: Approximately 100,000 people call Sumter S.C. home. There are two military bases in Sumter, which have a large influence on our community. The town is growing as well. Continental Tire is building a plant that will employ 1800 people. Our
future worship pastor will need a broad taste in worship, done with excellence and variety.
