The Central Baptist Church mission statement is; "Connecting people to a life that counts for eternity by
Building disciples that Go and change lives." Staffing is structured around these three purposes (Connect, Build, Go). This Children's Ministry Leader position would be the leader of the children's department of the Build
Ministry, and would be responsible to collaborate with all other departments to live out the mission of reaching the world for Christ.
1. Administrate all people, programs, and finances within Children's ministry
2. Offer leadership to staff and congregation/ Report to the Pastor of Build Ministry
3. Inspire others to change the world for Christ by personal example
4. Develop innovative strategies to execute the Build purpose within the context of Children's Ministry
5. Create enthusiasm for personal mission through inspiring teaching and modeling of Christ-like character.
The ideal candidate will have a ministry related bachelors degree, 2 years ministry experience within a multi-staff church model, and personal experience in Children's Ministry work. The candidate must also have the proven ability to recruit and build volunteer
teams, develop and work within a significant budget, and represent Children's Ministry to the congregation. This person must see their role primarily as an equipper of others. While they must be able to teach they must not be the main teacher at every children's
event. They must be able to spot, recruit and encourage high capacity volunteers to take on roles traditionally held by a director. They must work well together with other Central staff toward common goals and desired states.
