In carrying out our vision, we have planted 23 churches since 1996 and launched our first multisite campus in 2009 in the Steiner Ranch community of Austin; we are one church in two locations. Outcomes and Results – Success in this position will result in:

  • Alignment with the vision of HCBC and coordination with other ministry areas
  • Strong leadership in Young Adult ministries; future leaders are being identified and developed
  • Young Adults ministry is growing numerically and spiritually; disconnected young adults (within and outside the church) are connecting and taking next steps
  • Female Young Adults receive proactive, compassionate care and opportunities for growth
  • Young Adults Core Team is growing and being discipled; small groups are multiplying
  • Young Adults Pastor receives proactive, organized support in areas of planning and programming
  • Young Adults are being assimilated into the church body and Young Adult ministry; increased presence of Young Adults in the life of HCBC and in our community



Major Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Serve as an active member of the HCBC Austin staff team; establish and maintain relationships with church-wide staff and lay leaders; connect young adults into the life of the church (service opportunities, outreach events, etc.)
  • Actively participate in the programming, planning, and execution of all ongoing Young Adults ministry opportunities and reoccurring events
  • Establish and maintain relationships with female YA’s; help them take next steps in their spiritually journey
  • Develop and Mobilize Young Adult leaders, assist YA Pastor in developing and executing a clear leadership pipeline
  • Shepherd Young Adult women’s Small Group leaders; assist YA Pastor with all Small Group program needs as well as in the successful integration of our connect, grow, and reach strategy.
  • Coach, disciple and counsel Young Adult women within the church
  • Work closely with the Young Adult Pastor to establish and execute a yearly MAP (Ministry Action Plan) and budget
  • Own the execution of effective Social Media connections and communication (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Texts, etc.) for the Young Adults Ministry



Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Computer and office skills; Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Highly relational; Connector
  • Administrative; ability to develop and follow a plan
  • Communication skills (written and verbal)
