Located 30 miles north of Detroit, CrossPoint is a suburban church continually transitioning for greater impact on our community for the Kingdom of God. We are looking for someone with a heart and passion for worship who can harness the power of music and the arts to enhance the adorational, discipleship and evangelistic components of worship for our existing community and outreach ministry. This person would be responsible for oversight of all aspects of worship design and implementation. The position requires skills in leadership, equipping, team-building and interpersonal interaction. You will be relied on to help clarify and carry out the unfolding strategy of our ministry.
Some expectations include:
Display a heart and passion for worship through the use of vocal and instrumental gifts which draws all attenders into the presence of God during corporate worship and inspires worship in their daily lives.
Apply your gift of leadership and shepherding to the organizational and spiritual needs of the various teams throughout the worship ministry. Preserve a vibrant sense of community within all the teams in their area.
Oversee rehearsals, planning sessions, skill training events, performances and evaluations of a variety of Creative Arts.
Support all attenders in the discovery and use of their spiritual gifts/ talents regardless of age, race, gender or personality.
Walk with God. Honor your spouse (if applicable). Care for your family. And then - pour yourself out in ministry.
Education- Some college preferred / degree a plus, or an equivalent of education plus experience in a worship leading environment. Interest in technology, web presence, young adult ministry, and/or small group discipleship a plus.
Skills and Experience- Proven leadership, administration and musical skills. Commitment to discipleship and leadership development. Ability to lead up, down, and most importantly within. Proven interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize, analyze and problem-solve. Experience working with multiple deadlines. Positive, friendly attitude. Appreciation for a variety of worship styles. Determination to maintain a personal moral lifestyle consistent with biblical guidelines.
Salary- The position is currently at 3/4 time. The intention is to grow the position to full-time status with salary in the $35,000 range.
