Position: Pastor of Discipleship

Position Description: 

Pastoral position overseeing, coordinating and developing discipleship programs and curriculums to equip and grow believers. Oversight areas include but not limited to; Community Groups, water baptism, partnership, prayer partners, and growth track classes.



  • Further develop infrastructure and processes of ministry oversight areas
  • Recruit and train leaders to support and facilitate ministries of oversight areas
  • Provide pastoral care, oversight, and leadership development to existing leaders
  • Further develop the discipleship ministry by creating and implementing clear steps for growth and development for all levels of believers
  • Work with media team on communication and publicity of all discipleship programs
  • Create and implement strategies for assimilation of newcomers and guests into partnership with Radiant Church
  • Ensure an ongoing integrated evaluation process measuring the effectiveness of all areas of the discipleship ministry
  • Work with staff and leadership team to make discipleship processes a fluid conversation within body
  • Direct and oversee team building and concept implementation with community group leadership
  • Build and develop a community group culture within congregation
  • Organize and lead volunteer meetings in ministry oversight areas
  • Effectively manage and steward ministry oversight budget
  • Perform regular pastoral duties including baptisms, weddings, funerals, communion, teaching, and pastoral care
  • Attend staff and pastoral meetings
  • Lead by example with the servant heart of Jesus

Computer Experience:

Ability to operate Macintosh systems, Pages word processing, Numbers and Google Mail.
