Gateway Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational church located in West Haven, CT.
It is our goal to be a true family in the Lord that works together to nurture an environment that connects people to Jesus through extravagant worship and challenging Bible teachings. Our name is also our mandate: to be a Gateway to the Presence of God
to New England and beyond. Our Core Values, which are WORSHIP, DISCIPLESHIP, RELATIONSHIP & SERVICE, are the vehicles we will use to navigate this course and fulfill our mandate of bringing awakening and raising disciples in New England.
We are seeking a full time experienced senior pastor with a true shepherd's love for the Bride, with a passion to disciple and equip the next generation, and a desire to reach the world through local, national and international missions. Being led by the
Holy Spirit, the next Senior Pastor of Gateway must be equipped to cast vision, and they must be ready, willing and able lead us into the next season / phase of ministry the Lord would have us move in.
This person must be comfortable being the primary teacher of the Word, communicator to the church and cultivator of Biblical integrity to the congregation. They must be gifted with the ability to encourage, inspire and empower God's people to use their
gifts and talents to build His church within and outside of the four walls. This person must have demonstrated skill to develop leaders, have extensive knowledge of Scripture, boldness to preach God's Word without compromise and the capacity to hate sin while
loving the sinner.
Words like love, integrity, humility, servant, honor, faith, prayer warrior, worshipper, compassion, and visionary are essential descriptions of the next pastor of Gateway Christian Fellowship. This person must have an authentic and passionate Christian
walk in private and in public, participate in consistent spiritual accountability with other godly men / women, a dedication to family, the wisdom to balance family and ministry, and display consistent habits of prayer, Bible study, meditation and giving.
In addition, he or she must have at least five years of senior or associate level leadership in an established church or ministry and be able to partner with a team that consists of a congregation of 1200 plus members, 20+ full / part time staff and pastors,
as well as the Board of Directors, Church Elders and a leadership team of 50 + people.
