Job Description:
New Venture Christian Schools has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Teacher to join our talented team! The ideal candidate will have completed the course work as stated below and have at least 2 years of teaching/classroom experience. Candidates must be able to lovingly care for infants/children and communicate effectively with parents and staff. Must be creative and energetic, providing inside and outside activities for children until dismissal, and prepare and maintain the playground area for activities.

• Commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
• Must meet the Child Development Training Consortium qualifications of Site Supervisor. Course work must include at least one Infant and Toddler course.
• Minimum 2 years childcare and classroom related experience.
• Ability to safely lift 30 pounds from floor to waist level 10-15 times daily.
• CPR & First Aid certification required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently at times.
• Spiritually mature and able to live a positive Christian lifestyle in accordance with NVCF policies and procedures as stated in employee handbook.
• Signed commitment to NVCF’s Statement of Faith.
• Candidates must be local to Southern California and available for immediate full-time consideration.
• All candidates must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
