This position exists to provide a secure and enjoyable place of Ministry for servants of the ministry, a warm and inviting atmosphere for parents of preschoolers, and a creative learning environment for children.
Primary responsibilities include:
·Sunday morning and Wednesday evening environment for children, servant leaders, and parents.
·Plan, coordinate and conduct Preschool Parent Class and Family Dedication Service as required.
·Shepherd, lead, guide, and direct the Preschool Ministry Staff Team.
· Continual recruiting and equipping of servant leaders.
·Establish goals and objectives for Sunday morning and Wednesday night ministry and initiate strategies to fulfill them.
·Plan and promote activities to support our Sunday ministry to preschoolers and supervise the communication of these activities to other staff members, lay leaders, and parents.
·Maintain and environment that welcomes all visitors to the preschool ministry and make sure that appropriate follow up is made with first visitors.
·Responsible for appreciation, shepherding, and addressing of relational needs of all servant leaders.
·Build relationships with preschool families through personal contact, lunches, meetings, and correspondence.
·Prepare and manage the budget for all Preschool Ministries within the parameters established by the Family Minister, Executive Staff and the Finance Ministry Team.
·Maintain the quality of leadership trainings for new workers and refresher training for experienced leadership.
·Provide leadership, guidance and direction of other Preschool Ministries (Great Expectations, Lifesavers, and MOPS) through counsel and communication with Associate Ministers.
·Participate in general hospital visitations and pay special attention to Pinelake families with new children or sick preschoolers.
·Develop and evaluate curriculum and resources used for teaching purposes as well as developing equipping for leaders so that preschoolers can have the best possible in-room experience.
·Oversee implementation of all policy and procedures for the preschool ministry; updating them as needed and equipping servant leaders on the implementation of such policy and procedures as well.
· Perform other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; minimum of five years of ministry related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a large preschool ministry preferred.
