Worship Pastor Job Description
Hello from the Rock Church here in Danville, IL. We are a non-denominational, mission’s-minded, growing church of 360. We are looking for a Worship Pastor. Our mission is to persuade generations to take a “Journey Into God’s Greatness” together, a journey that
provokes passion to lead, live and love like Christ. Your job would be to build a generational pipeline connecting the generations together. Building teams and teaching vocals for a kid's church band' a youth band, and a band for Sunday services. We have done
live cd recording, and have others with the potential to lead you would be working with all ages. Eventually you will be helping host a Worship conference and developing a school of worship, and leading unplugged nights of worship. Benefits include: paid vacation,
christmas bonus, insurance benefits, and paid time off when extra hours are required. Mostly you will have a M-Th work week with friday and Saturday off Our worship style includes but not limited to Bashta, Redman, Tomlin Hillsong United, Planetshakers, Gateway,
and Jesus Culture our own songs we write, CFNI, Klaus, and others
The Worship Leader Salary will be commensurate with experience 40k +. You must be spirit- baptized (tongues), spirit led, and able to release others in the spontaneous unrehearsed heart to heart worship of the Lord. We are looking for a Worship Pastor with
a passion to see the gifts of the Spirit work during worship services. the church has a history of deaf ears opened, sickness healed, prophesy, and new songs being birthed during worship. We, as Senior Pastors at the Rock Church are Christ for the Nations
graduates and we believe in dancing, celebration-type praise and intimate worship as a part of a worship service. You need to be able to play and lead with a guitar.
A PLUS for this position would be experience leading youth, sound design,video editing, a heart for missions, and other instruments
The position calls for a person who is visionary and creative in the ways and means of leading people to God. The position serves as the coordinator to all aspects of worship and performing arts. The position is a pastoral position and therefore requires the
individual to be able to serve not solely as the worship leader but also as a shepherd to the people who serve in this ministry. Shepherding people is an often overlooked aspect to the position.
1. Develop & lead a growing, effective, cutting-edge (for this area) music ministry that’s in line with the Rock Church’s vision and the people we are reaching and hoping to reach.
2. Direct all weekly activities, rehearsals, etc necessary to facilitate worship in services and choose music for services, holiday services & special events. We want you to be able to develop new worship leaders and teams here at the Rock.
3. Find & plan ways to use music to reach out to the community evangelistically (& a yearly Praise & Worship Conference.)
4. Work with the Sound Team, and video team,
RELATION TO THE STAFF:
The worship pastor will report directly to the Senior Pastor who oversees all staff functioning in a ministerial or shepherding position. The person will work closely and regularly with the Senior Pastor in Sunday morning worship development and coordination.
