Job Description:

Central Church is a growing non-denominational church of approximately 1,000 attendees at weekend services.  The church also hosts a Christian school of 150 students (preschool thru 8th grade).  We are located in the suburbs of Fort Wayne, IN.  It is our vision for everyone who attends our church to love God through our worship services, love each other through involvement in a small group, and to love the community through serving in various ministries.  We are currently looking for an office manager to join our team.  The candidate's main responsibilities will be the following:

  1. Oversee the other office staff (currently 3 part time workers who work 15-30 hrs per week)
  2. Foster a friendly work environment for visitors and co-workers
  3. Creatively design/organize the weekly bulletins and other ministry brochures
  4. Implement administrative skills
  5. Able to skillfully use Church Management Software
  6. Sufficient in various computer technology
  7. Create an assimilation system for various aspects of the church

In the fall of 1968, 12 families from Cuba Mennonite Church near Harlan had a vision to begin an outreach work to start a church. The first meeting of this new church plant was January 19, 1969 in the Methodist Church in Woodburn. Eventually, a building was constructed at our present location in May, 1970. Even though we are no longer affiliated with the Mennonite Denomination, we cherish and respect our roots. Over the years God has continued to bless Central.
