Status:                               Full-­time, salary

Hours/Week:                    40+ hours

Shift/Hours/Days:           Days/9:00 – 5:30 pm/Monday through Friday (evening & Saturdays as needed)

The primary responsibility of a Pastoral Administrative Assistant (PAA) is to provide clerical and administrative support to the Lead Pastor. This qualified candidate will be responsible for using their personal gifts and technical skills to ensure the Lead Pastor is able to be more effective and efficient in the successful accomplishment of his leadership and pastoral roles. Some duties include:

 

  • Prepare and edit various church-­-related correspondence
  • Assist in planning and preparing for special events
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and create itineraries as needed
  • Answer telephone calls/emails and respond to inquiries from staff, church parishioners, and general public
  • Schedule  appointments
  • Maintain records and files
  • Assist the Lead Pastor with any follow-­-up of tasks assigned to others
  • Take thorough notes at meetings
  • Assist with any social media needs

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum  Qualifications:

 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years related administrative experience
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to articulate church objectives and development goals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively
  • Independent judgment and initiative
  • Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment
  • Proficient computer skills a MUST!! (Macintosh knowledge recommended)
