This Associate Pastor will give leadership to our students and the "entire student family." Being a new position for us, this minister will be free to create this ministry. We envision a student ministry that incorporates discipleship, strong shepherding,
and leading each student now with the student’s future in mind. We are the only rapidly growing church in the region, so multiplication of this ministry looks very positive. Currently, we have approximately 25 students.
Our church will be relocating in the next five years, building an entirely new facility.
Additionally, the Associate Pastor will be preaching once every 6 weeks for the entire congregation.
We are actively involved in mission work partnerships in Germany, El Salvador, and the Czech Republic. The Associate Pastor will be heavily engaged in these efforts as well, if desired.
Come to beautiful Central Texas and join a great team.
Job includes Associate Pastor and Student Pastor Responsibilities:
*Preach in the main worship service approximately every six weeks. If you lack preaching experience and want to preach a little bit less, that is fine too.
*Lead our "connections team" and "assimilation team".
*Minister to the entire congregation with discipleship, shepherding, and equipping.
*Becoming actively involved with ongoing partnership ministries in Germany, El Salvador, and the Czech Republic.
*Create a student ministry from basically the ground up! Dream, cast vision, and equip. Though we currently have about 25 students, we do not have a true student ministry. Shape it into your own personal sense of vision.
*Lead a family based student ministry. We are not tied to Sunday and Wednesday nights for programming. In fact, programming is almost a "four letter word" here. Lead, teach, empower, create....but don't over program. We believe less is more.
*Improve the quality of Christian families by fostering this truth: "Parents are primary in teaching students about Christ. The church should support families in leading their students in Christian principles."
*Mentor, mentor, mentor (instead of program, program, program).
