Job Description:
  • Lead the congregation in worship through music via; leading congregation singing, organizing and providing accompaniment, directing choir and small groups, mentoring young musicians, etc.
  • Communicate the relevance of God’s Word for growth and application in our lives
  • Shepherd, train and lead the church to do the work of the ministry
  • Have a passion for the lost
  • Assist in officiating the Lord’s Table, baptism, baby dedications, weddings, funerals and ordinations
  • Qualifications of the Candidate:

    Education:  Bachelor degree or better from an accredited Bible College or Christian Liberal Arts College

    Character: Meet the biblical requirements for elder (1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Pet 5:1-4; Acts 6:4)

    Testimony: Present proof of a clear testimony of personal salvation, believer’s baptism, and a commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ. Be in agreement with the doctrinal statement and constitution of Faith Community Church



    • Able to lead in a variety of music styles conducive to worship
    • Able to direct choirs, small groups, and mentor young musicians in worship music
    • Organizational skills to arrange the music portion of worship services in selection of a variety of music and use of music to increase the worship experience of the congregation; Organization of other musicians for accompaniment, special music, music library, etc.
    • Ability to interweave a quality, blended music program
    • Has a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
    • Exemplifies Biblical integrity and character in leadership, while demonstrating a servant’s heart
    • Ability to work cooperatively and interactively with the Elder board


    Partner with the elders to minister to the church family
