 newhope church is a fast-growing, multi-site church in North and South Carolina. Featured yearly as one of America's fastest growing churches, newhope seeks to REACH-TEACH-RELEASE in the Carolinas and beyond. This position would be centered in Durham, NC, but will have reach to all the campuses.
 
 
:: About the Position
 
Do you have a passion for creating spaces where people feel like a VIP? Do you have skills and experience in creating outstanding environments where people feel at home? Are you a high-energy leader? If so, this position might be for you!
 

The First Contact (Hospitality) Director will lead a large team of volunteers to serve with generosity, faithfulness, and preparedness. The FC Director will serve the church with teachability, faithfulness, and a generous heart, while equipping and inspiring volunteers to do the same. The FC Director will have responsibilities to lead our First Contact teams to serve on Sundays and major events, with leadership in our Resource Center and Higher Grounds Cafe. 

 

 

Experience/Skills

 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to working with people, especially volunteers, while developing systems for scheduling and organization. They will demonstrate a high degree of relational and administrative skills.

 

They will:

 

- Have a strong, demonstrated relationship with Jesus Christ, guided by a commitment to following the principles spelled out in the Bible for living a life of thankful service to God.

 

- Have a high level of integrity, guided by a sound set of Biblical principles. A humility and generosity that shows.

 

- Have a chemistry with the people and staff of newhope church that “fits.”

 

- Be administratively minded or able to work through others to live out day-to-day ministry in an organized manner.

 

- Have an unrelenting passion for connecting people.

 

- Be a self-motivated person with a healthy amount of drive.

 

- Have a high loyalty to Christ, and the local church.

 

- Be a team player and team builder who focuses on the good of the entire organization and can inspire others to work together to achieve organizational excellence.

 

-  Be a good communicator who listens well and is comfortable and effective with all levels of the organization; one who thrives on providing the necessary support for others to succeed.

 

- Bring energy and enthusiasm yet able to exude a calming influence when needed.
