This six-year old church plant is searching for a strong leader for its Student Ministries program in a church that is a moving, growing, and dynamic body. Cross Road Fellowship, in Wichita, Kansas, has grown to over 600 members with an average weekly attendance of 450 in 2008 since its inception. The church is in the process of relocating from a neighborhood setting to a 40-acre campus over the next two years and seeks an individual with the initiative, maturity, leadership and creativity to develop a student ministry program with great potential. This individual will serve as a member of the senior leadership of the church and provide direction, planning and implementation of strategies to create a strong and thriving student ministry for Cross Road. The Associate Pastor will work closely with the senior pastor and will be directly responsible for the overall vision, goals and objectives of the ministry.
Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
Consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle, complying with the biblical leadership qualifications described in 1 Timothy 3:1-13.
Competent in organization, administration and interpersonal relationships
Competent in Bible teaching.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in oral and written communication.
Competent in modern technologies including basic computer skills as well as email, texting messaging, website management/design, facebook, etc.
The Associate Pastor will oversee ministries to Middle School and and Senior High students in our church and community. This includes the development of an overall strategy with the senior leadership for the development and expansion of the existing student ministries program and the creation of plans for growth of the ministry for the future. Vision casting, leadership training and implementation skills are a must for this position.
The Associate Pastor will also provide technological support to the other ministries of the church in the development and use of modern technology in communication, administration and any other area deemed relevant.
From time to time, the Associate Pastor will be asked to serve as the preaching/teaching pastor for the Sunday morning services. The schedule will be determined with the senior pastor.
