Education and Experience required for this position

  • Bachelor’s   degree from an accredited college in a related field required.
  • Theological   education and training, minimum of three years.
  • Proven   leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated   ability to work collaboratively with people from diversified educations and   backgrounds (volunteers, staff, leadership, congregation members, and parents).
  • Demonstrated   effectiveness in interpersonal communications, organizational skills, and   writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must   be available for one evening meeting per week and worship on Sunday.


This position provides spiritual leadership, preaching   of the Word, administering the Sacraments, and planning and coordination of   launching a church plant in conjunction with the Strategic Planning Committee.   It includes providing effective communication with the members of the   Strategic planning committee. It also calls for building strong ongoing   relationships with church members by displaying strong faith, being openly   missional, being a team player, and encouraging feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities

Acts   20:28, 1 Tim 5:7, 1 Peter 5:1-4

  • Plan   and conduct worship services.
  • Develop   and deliver Scripturally-based sermons.
  • Lead   and administer the Sacraments.
  • Lead   the congregation in developing effective ministries to fulfill the Great   Commission with vision, purpose, and priority.  
  • Lead   and demonstrate effective ways to witness and win the loss to salvation   through Jesus Christ.
  • Serve   to recommend and advise committees and teams as an ex-officio member.
  • Work   with Church officers and other key leadership to carry out the mission and   purpose of CTWC.
  • Grow   the faith of church members.
  • Communicate   with congregation through announcements, written and spoken, using church   bulletins, worship services, and electronic means such as web updates and email.
  • Give   full support to the Tenets of Faith, the mission and vision of CTWC.
  • Adhere   to CTWC Bylaws and Policies and Procedures adopted by the church.
  • Maintain   a vital and wholesome personal relationship with the Lord through daily Bible   study and prayer.
  • Maintain   proper priorities in all family and personal relationships.




  • Identify   operational areas for improvement.
  • Maintain   and complete required personnel forms and reports.
  • Attend   and participate in all Strategic planning meetings.
  • Follow   up with any action items assigned to this position.


Functional Requirements

  • Must   be able to travel to, enter and function in a variety of settings, appropriate   to the need.
  • Must   have sensory abilities to complete communication and documentation   requirements of the job.
  • This   position may require lifting up to 30 pounds.


Environmental Factors

  • Knowledge   of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work   environment.
  • This   position requires exposure to office machines with varying hazards, noise.
  • This   position requires frequent, repetitive hand movements and long-term eye   exposure to a monitor when operating a computer.
