KidMin360 Search has partnered with a large and dynamic church in the Southeast to find their next Children’s Minister (oversight of 1st - 5th grades). This church is a growing church committed first and foremost to disciple-making, both
on a local and global level. The Children’s Minister will be part of a team working together to strategically provide disciple making opportunities within the church, and equipping families in the home. The ability to think outside the box to create intentional
but simple ministry will be key.

Focus and Direction of Ministry
An approach that is spiritually and developmentally aligned with and integrated across the spectrum of ministry areas, from birth into adult ministry.
Parent / Family Focus
The primary focus of Children’s Ministry must be holistic, to include parents and families. By virtue of their role, responsibility, and influence, a strong focus on parents is essential.
Exciting and Fun
For children, learning and growing is experiential. The Children’s Ministry must provide an atmosphere that is exciting, fun, and “hands on.”
Theologically Sound and Theologically Rich
The core of the Children’s Ministry must consist of strong theological teaching, principles, and values. The biblical gospel must be central to our approach. This would include biblical and practical approaches to disciple-making for children, parents, families,
Call To and Passion For Children’s Ministry
Children’s and Family Ministry is critical to the mission of the 21st Century church. A life-long calling to this ministry is central to our expectations.
Ability to Speak, Teach, and Cast Vision in Large Group Settings
Communicating effectively to children, parents, and leaders is an important part of moving the children’s ministry forward. While the cultivation of other “lead communicators” within the ministry is important, the Children’s Minister must make the most of every
large group setting in order to be a catalyst for next steps spiritually and organizationally.
Ability to Lead Through Organization and Manage Day-to-Day Details
The Children’s Minister must be a servant leader, and be able to recruit, equip, empower, and motivate Children’s Ministry team members. The Children’s Minister must be able to lead leaders and ensure that each part of the ministry organization is functioning
smoothly and responsibly. Also, the Children’s Minister must be a person who can lead and manage change with assertiveness, integrity, grace, and kindness.
Ability and Commitment to Build a Healthy, Effective Team
Strong, competent leadership in a team environment is highly valued. In order to lead an integrated, holistic ministry, we must serve together as a team, sharing a common vision, mission, and goal. We must also work together well and make much of the friendship
and fellowship that characterizes the Christian journey.
A minimum of 3 – 5 years in similar role and similar environment preferred
Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in related field preferred. In addition, knowledge in the following would be helpful:

- Basic Education Theory and Practice
- Leadership and Administration
