McMannen United Methodist Church Seeks Minister of Discipleship

Position Title:  Minister of Discipleship

Work Schedule:  Full time, 40 hours/week

Compensation:  $34,000-$40,000 annually

 

The mission of McMannen United Methodist Church, a congregation of 220 active members in Durham, North Carolina, is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for transformation of the world.  We seek an experienced and dynamic Minister of Discipleship to further our mission.  The primary goal of this position is to work with the minister and church leadership to plan, coordinate and direct all age-level ministries of the church.  A significant component of this position is to create and sustain small groups through development of volunteer leaders to plan and execute ministries. 

 

A Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required.  Previous experience with small group formation in a church environment is desired along with exceptional communication skills with all age groups.  No relocation funds are available for this position.
