Job Description:

Franconia Baptist Church is looking for a dynamic director for it's preschool ministry.  The FBC preschool serves 100 children from ages two and a half through five years old.  This program is a ministry of the church and as such exists for ministerial purposes.  Our preschool attempts to serve the community by offering a fun, educational, and Christian environment for the children of the Franconia, Springfield, and Alexandria areas.  At the FBC preschool we use the ABEKA curriculum for academic training and Discipleland for our Bible instruction.

The FBC preschool director will be responsible for managing a staff of approximately 15 teachers and assistants along with an assistant director who is responsible for much of the school administration.  The director will also be responsible for conducting a weekly chapel service for the children.  Annually the director will lead the staff review and budget processes.  Along with these needs the director must also be able to minister to the families, the staff, and the children.  It is the church's goal to see the preschool spread the love of Jesus throughout our community to families that might not ordinarily be in contact with the church.

The FBC preschool is made up of 3, 4, and 5 day classes which meet from 9:00AM to 1:00PM.  The director position is fulltime and has required hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM with some flexibility available.  The director and their family must be willing to become members of the church which means being in agreement with the church's statement of faith and church covenant which can be viewed at  A bachelor's degree in Education, Early Child Development, or Christian education is preferred.

Applicants that appear to meet the above qualifications will receive a formal application from the church.  Only candidates who receive and complete the formal application will be considered for an interview.
